چکیده

Background: Vaccination against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is recommended for patients with chronic liver diseases as the vaccine can prevent and/or reduce severity of SARS-CoV-2 infection. However, we have little information on often-reported liver-related adverse events (LrAEs) caused by mRNA vaccine. Methods: We retrospectively investigated frequency and details LrAEs changes in function tests diseases. Results: Among 431 diseases, 416 (96.5%) had received ≥ times. 345 included analysis, 6 (1.7%) LrAEs; 3 ascites, increases transaminases, 1 an increase total bilirubin. Multivariate analysis demonstrated that cirrhosis autoimmune disease were risk factors LrAEs. In contrast, reserve assessed Child–Pugh ALBI scores did not markedly change after vaccination despite a small transaminase levels. Conclusion: vaccines, which used most our patients, are safe but slightly increased

Coronavirus in severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS).

In November 2002, an outbreak of a life-threatening ‘atypical pneumonia’ for which no etiological agent could be identified occurred in Guangdong Province, China. In March 2003, a similar outbreak was reported in Hong Kong [1]. Cases of similar respiratory illness were subsequently reported globally including China, Taiwan, Singapore, Vietnam, Canada and USA. This syndrome is a new clinical ent...

Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome–associated Coronavirus Infection

Whether severe acute respiratory syndrome-associated coronavirus (SARS-CoV) infection can be asymptomatic is unclear. We examined the seroprevalence of SARS-CoV among 674 healthcare workers from a hospital in which a SARS outbreak had occurred. A total of 353 (52%) experienced mild self-limiting illnesses, and 321 (48%) were asymptomatic throughout the course of these observations. None of thes...

Liver stiffness measurement predicts liver-related events in patients with chronic hepatitis C: A retrospective study

The management of patients with chronic hepatitis C (CHC) depends on their clinical stage. Thus, noninvasive early recognition of patients with CHC at high risk for developing liver-related events (LREs) is important because it ensures optimal preventative management strategies may be employed that can affect the course of CHC disease. Our aim was to determine whether liver stiffness measuremen...

A novel coronavirus associated with severe acute respiratory syndrome.

BACKGROUND A worldwide outbreak of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) has been associated with exposures originating from a single ill health care worker from Guangdong Province, China. We conducted studies to identify the etiologic agent of this outbreak. METHODS We received clinical specimens from patients in seven countries and tested them, using virus-isolation techniques, electron-...

Characteristics of severe adverse events after peptide vaccination for advanced cancer patients: Analysis of 500 cases.

The purpose of this study was to investigate severe adverse events (SAEs) after therapeutic peptide vaccination for advanced cancer patients. We investigated SAEs following personalized peptide vaccinations in 500 advanced cancer patients, including 174 prostate, 74 colon, 51 pancreatic and 43 gastric cancer patients. The number of vaccination cycles varied widely, from 3 to 112. The severity o...
